kVisia Document Lifecycle Applications for Effective Program Lifecycle Management

As we have transitioned to a software company - added new applications and learned more about the range of document management issues and business processes our customers are addressing with our flexible, configurable kVisia software products - we have reviewed and updated our company positioning.

Our customers are using our software to manage the documents and business processes of typically large, complex to co-ordinate and strategically key programs of work, which we have termed Program Lifecycle Management. Our customers are benefiting from the power and easy configuration of kVisia to manage their intellectual property - held in documents, drawings, SOPs etc., - and are using the configurable business rules of kVisia to manage the business processes associated with these documents, thus controlling and reducing exposure to commercial risk.

Customers are using kVisia to manage business processes such as Correspondence Tracking, Drawing Management, Global Collaboration and Drug Submission in areas such as design, development, research, construction, business process outsourcing and asset management. We have identified a number of Document Lifecycle Applications that our customers benefit from to address these business processes, and are now providing these as configurable templates, included with kVisia, to help you get started quickly addressing common Program Lifecycle Management problems. See our Overview of kVisia Software Products for information on the kVisia environment, the foundation Document Lifecycle Applications currently available, and our kVisia Solution Enabling Tools.

Utilities engineering consultancy MWH has engineered, constructed, financed and managed some of the largest and most technologically advanced projects in the world. For an organization that is truly global, easy access to relevant information is hugely important. As Mark Bottomley, Programme Manager at MWH commented, “McLaren’s kVisia application has worked well and has done exactly what they claimed it would.”

kVisia Business Action Manager (formerly kRecord)

kVisia Business Action Manager is an application that provides dynamic management of both electronic and physical documents, based on configurable business polices. kVisia Business Action Manager allows the definition of policies that contain business rules, which specify an action to be carried out at a pre-defined time interval. Documents are then associated with a business policy. The policy manager then automatically reads these business policies, calculates action schedules and then automatically executes actions on documents once triggered by an event(s) in the policy.
