Expanding our Channel Partner Program
We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our Channel Partner Program, adding a dedicated channel account team of four. The Channel Program has been revamped and now includes Partner categories of Reseller, Referral, Services and Influencer.
The new Channel Account Team works hand in hand with the McLaren Direct Sales and Support teams to work with our channel partners to assist with closing, configuring and implementing deals. In addition, there is a Channel Support Team in place, covering the key requirements of marketing, training and technical support. The new investment includes a Partner Marketing Toolkit which is being rolled out during Q1 2007.
A new partner training program is also being rolled out in Q1, which will update existing and new Partners on the latest release of Enterprise Engineer. This five-day program covering sales and technical support is already being held in Europe, the Middle East and Malaysia. We are in the process of finalizing a schedule for Central, North and South American partners. For more information, please contact your regional Partner Account Manager.

McLaren Software Announces Enterprise Engineer for Assets
After many hours of input and review by members of the Enterprise Engineer Customer Advisory Board, we are proud to announce the newest member of the Enterprise Engineer applications suite – Enterprise Engineer for Assets. Helping you bridge the gap between your Engineering and Maintenance teams, this new application serves as a controlled library of officially sanctioned engineering documents and drawings, including:
- ‘As-built’ drawings
- Health and safety documents
- Standard operating procedures
- All other related asset content
We call this document library the Asset Information Vault. Enterprise Engineer for Assets provides the vault along with a comprehensive set of business processes and supporting work packages. The work packages control the movement and use of content, in and out of the vault, supporting multiple concurrent projects while assuring your business has access to the most current asset information.
Enterprise Engineer for Assets is a “game changing” technology for EPCs and Owner Operators. Read more in the press release.

Kicking Off 2007 at the Daratech PLANT Conference!
We kicked off 2007 at Daratech PLANT in Houston, Texas, on January 29-31. For the first time, Daratech added a Content Management track – emphasizing ECM’s growing relevance in today’s highly-regulated business environment.
At this year’s conference, we announced Enterprise Engineer for Assets as well as an extended partnership and offering with a key technology partner, Autodesk. McLaren’s CTO, David Parry, participated in the CTO panel where he provided some straightforward, practical advice on what customers want out of a technology solution.
Back by popular demand, we hosted the annual McLaren PLANT Party on Monday evening, complete with casino tables, an educational Scotch tasting, prizes and plenty of food and drink! We would like to thank our co-sponsors for the evening, Autodesk and EMC. If you were not able to attend, we missed your company! Click below to see photos from the event!
Customer highlight: On Tuesday, customer Greg vanWormer of Weyerhaeuser presented a session on their Centralized Engineering Content System. Greg explained their challenges and how Enterprise Engineer has helped to drive their solution across the company. Congratulations to Weyerhauser on a great presentation!
